How to use Flammable solvent IPA or Ethanol with ultrasonic cleaning machine？
The tabletop models are widely used in testing, laboratories and factories such as electric devices and metal (plastic) parts manufacturing and so on.Some users supply flammable solvent such as IPA (isopropyl alcohol) and Ethanol in its tank directly.
Standard table top ultrasonic cleaning devices cannot be supplied in its chamber for flammable solvent.You should see the operating manual and check the caution.It will be the cause of ignition and then your factory will be destroyed by fire.
If you require using flammable solvent for parts cleaning, you should use the cleaning device under the specification of increased safety protection.

TCE(Trichloroethylene) is a volatile compound believed to cause cancer.

It mainly affects the central nervous system (the brain), causing headache, nausea, dizziness, clumsiness, drowsiness, and other effects like those of being drunk.It can also damage the facial nerves, and it can cause skin rash. Heavy exposure can damage the liver and kidneys.
TCE(Trichloroethylene) is a chemical used in the production of poly vinyl chloride, flame retardants and insecticides. It is also used as an industrial solvent, serving as a grease and oil remover in metal factories and textile plants.
DENR Secretaly Reyes issued a verbal directive banning the importation, use and sale of TCE nationwide. “We want to inform the public upfront that the government will do the necessary measures to address this particular problem,” he added.

nPB(degreaser) alternative for TCE & Methylen

n-Propyl Bromide is non flammable and alternative degreaser EPA (U.S.A.) approved on May 2007.
nPB is Alternative degreaser for TCE(Trichloroethylene), Methylenchloride (Dichloromethane), CFC113, CFC141b & HCFC225.
But its cost is very high compare with TCE or Methylenchloride. And also Acceptable Exposure Limit (AEL) is only 25ppm. Conventional washing machine (vapor degreasers) cannot keep workshop AEL within 25ppm. Using conventional vapor degreaser, nPB consumption will be very high, it means cleang cost increasing. SOLVENTS (DEGREASER)
n-PB (n-Propyl Bromide), HFE(3M), Chlorinated solvents (TCE=Trichloroechioen, Methylen Chloride, Dichloromethane), HCFC’s.
nPB (n Propyl Bromide) is best degreaser and the alternative cleaning solvent for TCE and methylen chloride.

Removal of Greases, Oils, Solder Flux, Resin, Paste, Adhesives, Waxes, Metal chips, small particles from metal parts and substrates.
All cleaning processes are processed under vacuum. The cleaning chamber, reserve tank and distiller are pressure tight structures such as gas cylinder. The cleaning solvent are sealed off in the pressure tight tanks.

Degassed solvent made by vacuum ultrasonic, makes strong ultrasonic sound pressure. The Cleaning solvent enter inside the blind holes easily. Good for parts gap and parts blind hole precision cleaning. High cleaning efficiency, especially micro gaps and small size parts.

Danger:
Using conventional vapor degreaser, such as 2 tanks or 3 tanks cleaning machines with condensing coils, are very dangerous for operators because of solvent evaporation, vapor losses & gas leakage from the open top design of the cleaning tanks. And also, the parts couldn’t be dried perfectly. Density regulation of n-PB in workshop is 25ppm.
In cleaning, operators are handling cleaning baskets over the cleaning tanks. n-PB and HFE’ s are volatile solvents. It’s hard to keep 25ppm over the cleaning tanks. So, operators inhale n-PB solvent gas. These machines also consume large amount of volatile cleaning solvent because the Condensing coils cannot prevent solvent evaporation, vapor losses & leakage.
These conventional cleaning machines cannot keep workshop clean, cannot save the operators from solvent and cannot save solvent costs.
Conventional cleaning machines cannot use n-PB as direct replacement for chlorinated solvent such as TCE.
